Motorists using N.E. 124th Street can expect delays and temporary lane closures from now until late September.
Road crews began work on a resurfacing project at the end of last month. Roadwork will affect the street from approximately 107th Place N.E. to the intersection of 116th Avenue N.E. and 120th Avenue.
Crews are resurfacing N.E. 124th as part of the city’s annual street preservation project.Washington Department of Ecology is inviting the public to comment on a proposed increase to annual fees paid by wastewater and stormwater permit holders.
Under the federal Clean Water Act, Washington and other states use permits as the primary tool to prevent water pollution. Industries, businesses, construction sites, and municipalities (for sewer and stormwater) must have permits in order to discharge wastewater or stormwater into state waters, such as Lake Washington.
Ecology is accepting written comments about the proposed changes until 5 p.m. July 15. Send comments to Department of Ecology, Attn: Bev Poston, P.O. Box 47600, Olympia WA 98504-7600. E-mail comments to bpos461@ecy.wa.gov or fax them to 360-407-7131.
