Commuters should expect traffic delays due to Kirkland SummerFest, which occurs Friday, Aug. 9 through Sunday, Aug. 11 in downtown Kirkland.

Road closures will be in place throughout the weekend. Event goers are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool and plan for their parking in advance.  The city’s boat launch by Marina Park will remain open all weekend, however boaters should expect delays.

The following closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9 through 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 12:

• Kirkland Avenue from the City Dock to Lake Street

• Lakeshore Plaza parking lot

The following closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10 through 11 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11:

• Lake Street from Central way to 2nd Avenue

• Park Lane from Lake Street to Main Street

• Kirkland Avenue from Lake Street to Main Street

• Lake and Central parking lot
