Finn Hill Junior High students place first in technology competition

Eighteen Finn Hill Junior High students competed in the district competition of WTSA (Washington Technology Student Association) held at Brier Terrace Middle School on Jan. 28.

Eighteen Finn Hill Junior High students competed in the district competition of WTSA (Washington Technology Student Association) held at Brier Terrace Middle School on Jan. 28.

Five middle schools – Finn Hill Junior High, Meadowdale, Brier Terrrace, Alderwood and College Place – competed in two events of engineering and problem solving.

Led by teacher/advisor Lisa Shulman, Finn Hill Junior High students Alex Shinstrom and Alex Tuck won first place in the problem-solving event.

More than 70 students participated, making it the largest regional competition in Washington State.

Finn Hill will also compete in the state competition in Bellevue on March 22-24.
