The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:
Drivers who use northbound Interstate 405 in Bothell should plan ahead for a full closure and detour early Sunday morning, Aug. 9. Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close all lanes of northbound I-405 at State Route 522 from 12:30 to 5:30 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.
In addition, there will be extensive overnight lane and ramp closure in both directions of I-405 between State Route 520 in Bellevue and State Route 522 in Bothell from Friday evening, Aug. 7, through Monday morning, Aug. 10. These closures are needed to complete striping, electrical and paving work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.
Full closure:
- Sunday, Aug. 9 – All lanes of northbound I-405 at SR 522 will close from 12:30 to 5:30 a.m.
Lane closures:
- Friday, Aug. 7, to the morning of Saturday, Aug. 8
o Up to three right lanes of northbound I-405 from SR 520 to Northeast 70th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.
o Up to four right lanes of northbound I-405 from Northeast 85th Street to Northeast 124th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 10:30 a.m.
o Up to four right lanes of southbound I-405 from Northeast 124th Street to Northeast 85th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
o Up to three right lanes of northbound I-405 from Northeast 124th Street to Northeast 160th Street will close from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.
o Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 from Northeast 160th Street to SR 522 will close from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 8, to the morning of Sunday, Aug. 9
o Up to four right lanes of northbound I-405 from SR 520 to Northeast 70th Street will close from 7 p.m.to noon.
o Up to three left lanes of northbound I-405 from Northeast 160th Street to SR 522 will close from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
o Up to three right lanes of southbound I-405 from SR 522 to Northeast 160th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 10:20 a.m.
- Sunday, Aug. 9 to the morning of Monday, Aug. 10
o Up to four right lanes of southbound I-405 from Northeast 124th Street to Northeast 85th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

- Friday, Aug. 7, to the morning of Saturday, Aug. 8
o The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 116th Street will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
o The Northeast 85th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
o The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 124th Street will close from 10 pm. to 9 a.m.
o The Northeast 124th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
o The southbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 160th Street will close from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
o The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 160th Street will close from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.
o The Northeast 160th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
o The eastbound and westbound SR 522 ramps to northbound I-405 will close from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Saturday, Aug. 8, to the morning of Sunday, Aug. 9
o The southbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 85th Street will close from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
o The Northeast 116th Street on-ramp to southbound I-405 will close from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
o The Northeast 128th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
o The Northeast 160th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.
o The southbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 160th Street will close from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
o The eastbound and westbound SR 522 ramps to southbound I-405 will close from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
- Sunday, Aug. 9 to the morning of Monday, Aug. 10
o The southbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 85th Street will close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
o The Northeast 116th Street on-ramp to southbound I-405 will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
