Futurewise will host a public display called “Transit-Oriented Communities: A Blueprint for Kirkland and the Eastside” at the Kirkland Public Library through March 26. The transit-oriented communities display is 16 panels that visually and textually describe transit-oriented communities and how the communities can help local economies, working families and the environment.
Futurewise is a non-profit advocacy group working to protect local rivers, lakes, and Sound; save habitat and local farms; expand transit and street choices; and build great, healthy communities. Futurewise’s priorities in King County are to build transit-oriented communities and adopt county-wide policies that reduce global warming pollution.
