Green Kirkland will give residents a chance to give back to the community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 20.
Volunteers will help remove aggressive invasive plants like blackberry and ivy from Crestwoods Park, located at 1818 6th St. in Kirkland. Dress for the weather, wear waterproof shoes and bring a filled water bottle and snacks. All tools and gloves will be provided. Arrive early to find parking in the lot or along the street and to allow time to register by 10 a.m.
