The city of Kirkland will offer tours on what happens to recycling after it is picked up from the curb, how bottles get separated from aluminum and how creeks get to Lake Washington and the journey of storm drain water.

The fourth annual Kirkland Sustainability Education Series will take place during September with educational movies, workshops and tours. Watch one couple survive on discarded food alone at the Outdoor Movie Night at Carillon Point – and learn what a resident can do at home to waste less food. This biannual series aims to teach Kirkland residents how to live more sustainably through tours, movies and hands-on workshops.

Space is limited so sign up today for any or all of these free learning opportunities at http://kirklandpw.eventbrite.com.
