Green Kirkland to hold President’s Day mulching work party at Cotton Hill Park

Volunteer to help University of Washington restoration ecology network students mulch the forest site they are restoring from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 20 at Cotton Hill Park, 110th Ave. N.E. and N.E. 98th St., Kirkland.

Volunteer to help University of Washington restoration ecology network students mulch the forest site they are restoring from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 20 at Cotton Hill Park, 110th Ave. N.E. and N.E. 98th St., Kirkland.

Tools, gloves, light snacks and water will be provided.

Wear waterproof boots and (optional) bring your favorite gloves, clippers and water bottle. Dress for the weather and wear layers.

The event is suitable for adults, teens, and families. Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Youth 14-17 years should be accompanied by an adult, or bring a signed waiver form, or a parent/guardian to sign you in.
