The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter police blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 1,000 per week.
Between Sept. 15-21, there were 193 traffic incidents, 16 traffic accidents, one DUI, 47 general traffic incidents, four incidents involving illegal drugs, 53 alarm calls, nine abandoned vehicles, seven burglaries, 12 incidents of fraud, 14 civil incidents, five cases of harassment, 16 thefts, 12 vehicle prowls, three vehicle thefts, 20 warrants served, 17 noise complaints, 10 animal calls, 10 incidents of domestic violence, 12 disturbances, two sex offenses, five hit and runs and 28 incidents involving at least one arrest.
Sept. 17
Theft: 2:12 p.m., 8600 block of 120th Ave.; Costco loss prevention observed a 55-year-old Lynnwood woman enter the store and conceal a pair of gloves and a rain jacket inside her purse. The woman left the store without purchasing the items, valued at $62.97. She was arrested, booked, cited and released.
Sept. 15
Warrant arrest: 12:45 a.m., 11200 block of NE 124th St.; A 36-year-old Everett woman was contacted and found to have a Lynnwood PD theft warrant with bail set at $7,600. She was arrested and transported to meet Lynnwood police.
Order violation: 4:02 a.m., 500 block of 10th Ave. W; A 55-year-old man called a 69-year-old woman at 4 a.m. and made several rambling statements. The woman had a protection order against the man, who was arrested at the Totem Lake Motel 6 without incident.
Warrant arrest: 7:03 p.m., 11700 block of NE 118th St.; A 32-year-old Bellevue man was arrested on his warrant for driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Sept. 17
Warrant arrest: 11:18 p.m., 8100 block of NE 110th Place; A 47-year-old man was arrested on his outstanding King County Sheriff warrant after officers responded to his residence on a possible domestic violence call. An investigation determined there was only a verbal argument.
Sept. 18
Domestic: 6:07 a.m., 11200 block of NE 132nd St.; A 39-year-old man was arrested for 4th-degree assault, domestic violence, after he struck his 37-year-old girlfriend in the face multiple times and pushed her out of their shared apartment.
Warrant arrest: 10:32 p.m., NE 134th St and 91st Place NE; A 30-year-old Bothell man, which police reports list as homeless, was arrested on his Bothell PD misdemeanor warrant for criminal solicitation after he was called in as a QA subject while walking around with a flat screen TV.
Sept. 19
Warrant arrest: 11:55 p.m., 13700 block of 100th Ave. NE; A Lake Forest Park man and a Bothell woman, both 28 years old, were contacted in a trailer behind the Forget-Me-Not consignment store and found to have King County Sheriff misdemeanor warrants. The woman was arrested on her 3rd-degree theft warrant out of Shoreline, but the man was not arrested because of his illness.
Sept. 20
Warrant arrest: 4 a.m., 12400 block NE 72nd St.; A 33-year-old man was arrested on multiple Bothell PD warrants with total bail set at $20,000.
Warrant arrest: 9:52 p.m., 12300 block of 120th Ave. NE; A 32-year-old Redmond man was contacted at the Fred Meyer gas pumps. The man was found to have a King County Sheriff’s Office felony warrant for ID theft and forgery with no bail. The man was arrested and taken to King County Jail.
Sept. 21
Warrant arrest: 1:02 a.m., 11200 block of NE 124th St.; A 29-year-old Everett man was contacted as he loitered around the QFC parking lot. He was found to have a felony warrant out of Everett for dangerous drugs and was arrested and transported to King County Jail without incident.
