The following is a release from the Joel Hussey campaign:

The Association of Washington Business (AWB) has endorsed Joel Hussey in his race for the State House of Representatives in the 45th Legislative District. Hussey, a long-time Redmond resident, has owned and operated Tailwind Capital, a global aircraft leasing and management firm, since 2007.

The AWB is Washington State’s primary advocate for the small business community and supports local private sector employers. Groups that emphasize job creation and economic growth have consistently supported Joel in his candidacy for the State House of Representatives. Joel was first endorsed by the AWB during his 2012 campaign for having a platform that highlighted the importance of small business owners and deregulation.

“I am very grateful to receive such strong support from the local and state-wide business community,” Hussey said. “Olympia keeps pushing policies that hinder the growth of small business owners, and I feel that legislators need make small business growth a top priority in 2015.”

Hussey is running against Roger Goodman, a four-term incumbent who resides in Kirkland.

“Employers are finding it more and more difficult to hire new workers because of excessive taxation and regulations,” Hussey said. “Now imagine an income tax on top of that. Businesses and families in my district have already repeatedly said they don’t want that.”
