The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:

Drivers on Interstate 405 between Bellevue and Lynnwood should prepare for possible delays Friday evening through Monday morning.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close several lanes and ramps on I-405 between State Route 520 in Bellevue and Interstate 5 in Lynnwood. These closures are needed to complete traffic shift and paving work for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

Also, beginning Sunday evening, contractor crews with the I-405 southbound paving project will be closing lanes and ramps overnight between SR 520 and Southeast 8th Street in Bellevue for permanent lane striping work. This is the final phase of the project and it is scheduled to be complete by the end of May.

Lane closures:

• Friday, May 15, to the morning of Saturday, May 16

o   Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 70th Street and Northeast 85th Street will close from 8 p.m. to 9:30 a.m.

o   Up to three lanes of southbound I-405 between Northeast 70th Street and SR 520 will close from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

• Saturday, May 16, to the morning of Sunday, May 17

o   Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 70th Street and Northeast 85th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.

o   Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 195th Street to SR 527 will close from 7 p.m. to noon.

o   Up to two lanes of northbound I-405 between SR 527 and I-5 will close from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.

o   Up to three lanes of southbound I-405 between Northeast 124th Street and Northeast 85th Street will close from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.

• Sunday, May 17, to the morning of Monday, May 18

o   Up to three lanes of northbound I-405 between Northeast 195th Street and SR 527 will close starting at 7 p.m. The first lane will open at 6:30 a.m. and all lanes will open by 1 p.m.

o   Up to two lanes of northbound I-405 between SR 527 and I-5 will close from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

o   Up to three lanes of southbound I-405 between SR 520 and Southeast 8th Street will close from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Ramp closures:

• Friday, May 15, to the morning of Saturday, May 16

o   The Northeast 70th Street on-ramp to southbound I-405 will close from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

• Saturday, May 16, to the morning of Sunday, May 17

o   The Northeast 70th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

o   The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 85th Street will close from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.

o   The Northeast 85th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m.

o   The Northeast 195th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

• Sunday, May 17, to the morning of Monday, May 18

o   The Northeast 195th Street on-ramp to northbound I-405 will close from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

o   The southbound I-405 HOV ramps to and from Northeast 6th Street may close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
