I-405 reduced to one lane in Kirkland and North Bellevue overnight Saturday

Nighttime drivers on southbound Interstate 405 near Kirkland and north Bellevue should plan for possible delays Saturday night. Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation plan to reduce the roadway to a single lane and close a nearby ramp to complete restriping work and a traffic shift for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

Nighttime drivers on southbound Interstate 405 near Kirkland and north Bellevue should plan for possible delays Saturday night. Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation plan to reduce the roadway to a single lane and close a nearby ramp to complete restriping work and a traffic shift for the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project.

Saturday, Sept. 27 to the morning of Sunday, Sept. 28

  • ·         Up to three lanes of southbound I-405 between Northeast 70th Street and SR 520 will close starting at 7 p.m. Two lanes will close at 9 p.m., and three lanes will close at midnight. One lane will open by 7 a.m. and all lanes will be open by 9 a.m. Sunday.
  • ·         The southbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 70th Street will close from 8 p.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday.
