International Community School students place in FBLA state conference

Students of Kirkland’s International Community School (ICS) achieved outstanding results at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference, held in Spokane April 7-9.

Students had the opportunity to compete in 55 different business-related events, attend workshops and network with other students from around the state and professionals in their various fields.

Lori Zebrack-Smith, FBLA advisor and ICS math teacher, said “I’m very proud of all our competitors. Because ICS does not offer any business classes, students must prepare for their events by researching as much material as they can on their own in lieu of learning the concepts in class. I look forward to taking our qualifiers to Orlando in June for the National Business Leadership Conference.”
