The John Muir Elementary School community is gathering money for a memorial bench to honor the late Sally Horton, who taught at the school for many years. The school will collect the money through next year, and hopes to dedicate the bench by next spring, possibly on the year anniversary of Horton’s death. Donations can be sent to John Muir Elementary in care of Susan Cotton, at 14012 132nd Ave. N.E., Kirkland, WA 98034.
