In their first league game of the season, the Juanita girls basketball team beat Bellevue 51-37 on Saturday evening.

It was a tight first quarter with the teams ending it with a 13-12 score in the Rebels favor. But in the second Juanita jumped out with 13 points to Bellevue’s seven and never looked back. At the end of the third quarter, Juanita led 42-25. The Wolverines kept with it, scoring 12 points in the fourth quarter and holding Juanita to nine but it wasn’t enough.

Molly Grager had the team high for the Lady Rebels with 16, while teammates Kate Cryderman and Mikayla Jones added 14. Bre Carter had six and Shannon Brink had one.

The Rebels will play Snohomish on Monday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. and will take on Lake Washington on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
