A Juanita High School Senior has been charged with multiple counts of felony telephone harassment after sending and posting threatening messages to his classmates.

Salomon Bernardo Levin, 18, was arrested on June 12 after several students reported the threats he allegedly made on social media.

According to charging documents, Levin posted an Instagram story that referenced the recent school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that killed 19 children and two adults.

In the post he wrote:

“For those who have been talking shit about me. Just remember that people who talked shit about other people at the school in the country have ended up dead or worse and after the recent school shooting in Uvalde Texas and you talking shit about me, that’s a recipe for disaster so for everyone’s sake don’t give me a reason to put you in your place. School shootings in this country can be easily avoidable if we just be nice to each other. Don’t throw your life away just to insult someone.”

According to authorities, at least 55 calls were made from concerned parents, students and community members to report concerns and fear over the post and direct messages associated with Levin.

Several students replied to Levin’s Instagram story that contained the threats and were met with more threats from Levin in response.

One student replied and asked what Levin meant by the post. Levin replied, “it means if you’re not careful, you’ll end up like this kids in Uvalde.”

The student asked if that was meant to be a threat. Levin responded: “Yes it is.”

Levin later sent a photograph to another student of a shotgun and several black bags used to carry large rifles in the background.

According to police interviews with Levin, he had been bullied and he claimed people had tried to damage his “reputation and vast popularity.” He stated he had “had enough” when he posted the story on Instagram.

Levin told police the post was not a direct threat, but it could be insinuated to be. He said he thought about it very carefully and said he wanted to scare people into being nice to him and “silence them into submission,” according to charging documents.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office recommended Levin’s bail to be set at $200,000.

“In these communications, the defendant indicated that his father had a gun and sent a photograph of a shotgun and rifle cases. In an interview with detectives, the defendant said that the purpose of the original Instagram post was to scare people, that he had a list of people he wanted to get rid of, that he wanted to harm people individually, and he mentioned having a gun in his fantasies,” according to the prosecutor’s office. “Based on the defendant’s statements to students and law enforcement, it’s obvious that he poses an extreme risk to the named victims, other students, school employees, and the general public.”

His next court date is his arraignment, which is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. June 27 in room E1201A of the King County Courthouse.
