Mercer Island defeated Juanita on Tuesday, Oct. 11 4-1. Juanita’s lone goal came from Karissa Radke, assisted by Danika Bethune.
Thursday, the Rebels played at Bellevue, ending regulation with a tied score at 2-2.
Hannah Johnson scored Juanita’s first goal with 50:00 on the clock, while Haili Adams had the second with an assist by Johnson in the 60th minute. Bellevue scored in the 20th and 55th minute.
Tuesday, the Rebels battled to a 1-1 tie with Mount Si. Leah Corra scored the first goal of the game for the Wildcats in the 42nd minute, but Kaila Bass tied the game with 66 minutes on the clock to even the game.
The Rebels play Interlake on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
Lake Washington beat 2A conference foe Interlake 2-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The Kangs first goal came from Jessica Scovel, playing her first game since the beginning of the season after an injury forced her to the sidelines. The goal, in the 33rd minute, came after Saint’s goalie Catie Gertzendaner punched away a Cassie Lively header, which made it’s way to Scovel at the top of the box.
Thursday, the Kangs traveled to Mount Si, where the two teams tied with a 1-1 score in double overtime.
In the eighth minute of the game the Wildcats struck first with a goal by Leah Corra. The score remained in Mount Si’s favor at the end of the first half, before three minutes into the second half when Amy Johnson’s free kick skimmed over Mount Si’s Sophia Rockow’s gloves to tie the game.
After ending the game tied, the two teams started the first overtime period with strong defense, followed by a second overtime which still resulted in no score.
The Kangs traveled to Liberty on Tuesday, Oct. 18, losing 3-0. The Patriots had the first goal in the 8th minute, followed by the second in the 11th minute. Lake Washington played strong defense, battling until the 65th minute when Liberty scored the final goal of the game.
Tuesday, Oct. 25 the Kangs will play Sammamish, before Juanita in the final game of the regular season on Oct. 27.
