Between May 6-12, the Kirkland Police Department reported 526 traffic violations (five DUIs), 26 alarm calls, 18 car accidents, seven noise complaints, 10 thefts, 16 car prowls, three domestic violence calls, 11 calls for harassment, four acts of fraud, 13 calls of a disturbance, three calls for illegal substances and 14 calls of civil disturbance. At least 45 people were arrested.

May 11

Domestic: 8:11 p.m., 800 Market Street. A 21-year-old Detroit man was arrested for domestic violence for grabbing his 16-year-old Kirkland girlfriend by the hair to prevent her from leaving a Metro bus after a heated discussion.

Warrant arrest: 4:39 a.m., Seventh Ave. and Second Street. A 38-year-old Des Moines man was contacted on an area check as a car prowl suspect and was found to have a warrant out of Seattle.

May 10

Warrant arrest: 7 p.m., 14800 block of 117th Place N.E. A 42-year-old Kirkland man came into the Kirkland Police Department to report his 15-year-old daughter as a runaway and thought she might be with her boyfriend and his mother. The girl also had a warrant out for her arrest and was arrested upon contact by police.

May 9

Harassment: 3:05 a.m., 11500 block of 124th Ave. N.E. A Kirkland man called police to report that a 26-year-old Kenmore man was harassing him. Several text messages were sent threatening the man. The Kenmore man was arrested and several things were confiscated as evidence including an 18 inch machete, a silver knife, two pellet guns, a professional grade slingshot, a foldout knife and the cell phone used to make the threats.

May 8

DUI: 12:50 a.m., 11900 N.E. 116th Street. Officer arrived at the scene of an accident where a car broadsided another while coming off the freeway. A 62-year-old female was arrested for DUI in association with the accident.

Warrant arrest: 5:30 p.m., 1800 Third Street. A 44-year-old Bellevue man was arrested on a Redmond warrant for domestic violence.

May 7

Domestic: 8:48 p.m., 10800 block N.E. 68th Street. A 28-year-old Puyallup man was arrested after assaulting his girlfriend and urinating in public.

Malicious mischief: 9:30 p.m., 200 Lake Street S. A 51-year-old Bellevue man reported that an unknown suspect ripped off the side-view mirror from his vehicle.

May 6

Harassment: 12 noon, 10100 block of N.E. 124th Place. A 31-year-old Kirkland resident reported to have received numerous offensive text messages and pictures as a result of a Craigslist ad posted by an unknown suspect. The resident had no more information regarding six ads posted during the past week. The victim has contacted Craigslist each time to have the ads removed.
