Community participation is an essential part of a new effort by King County Parks to develop a trails plan for Big Finn Hill Park in Kirkland.
A public meeting is set for Thursday, June 7 from 7-9 p.m. at Finn Hill Middle School, 8040 N.E. 132nd St., Kirkland.
King County Parks staff will give meeting attendees a brief overview of Big Finn Hill Park’s current amenities, then ask the audience for their feedback on trail use and trail improvement needs.
At 220 acres, Big Finn Hill Park contains 3.5 miles of trails for hiking, running, wildlife viewing and other activities. The county’s trail system connects to seven miles of trails at the adjacent Saint Edward State Park.
The county’s goal is to produce a clear and concise trail use and development plan that insures continued hiking, biking and running opportunities for park users of all ages and abilities.
