Members of the association unveiled two of the new signs during a community event on the boardwalk at Juanita Bay Park on Friday afternoon.

About 20 people attended the event in the pouring rain, including Kirkland City Council members Toby Nixon and Dave Asher.

The collection of new information and pictures will update the signs originally installed in 1976.

The Kirkland Heritage Society is also asking residents with pictures of the Juanita or Kirkland area from the 1940s and 1950s that they would like to share to contact the organization. To contact the Kirkland Heritage Society call 425-827-3446.
