The city of Kirkland held its annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on April 10 at to celebrate volunteer hours by Kirkland citizens in 2013.
Last year, 2,455 volunteers contributed more than 29,500 hours of their time and talents. These contributions are valued at greater than $650,000 of benefit to the community.
The event included city officials, council members, Kirkland City Manager Kurt Triplet and music from students at the International Community School in Kirkland.
