In November, Kirkland residents will be asked to vote in races for three Kirkland City Council seats and for King County Council Position 6, which represents Kirkland, Bellevue and Mercer Island.
A great way to learn more about the candidates and their positions is to come to a forum that is being held from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 21 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 12600 84th Ave. N.E. in Kirkland.
The forum is being hosted by the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance, www.dennycreek.org, and Finn Hill neighbors.
All of the candidates for November’s council seats and for county council will be there: Bob Sternoff and Jason Gardiner for Position 2, Jessica Greenway and Toby Nixon for Position 4, Dave Asher and Jim Hart for Position 6 on the Kirkland City Council, and Jane Hague and Richard Mitchell for King County Council Position 6.
The debate will be monitored by the League of Women Voters. Questions will be presented that have been submitted by Finn Hill neighbors. There’s still time to recommend a question.
You can do so by submitting to info@dennycreek.org.
This is a terrific opportunity to hear the candidates speak out on the issues important to the Finn Hill neighborhood and Kirkland community.
The public is invited, so consider attending the forum on Sept. 21 so that you can cast a well-informed vote in November!
