Kirkland fire displaces 12 residents, destroys three units

A fire at a Kirkland condominium complex on Saturday night has displaced 12 residents.

A fire at a Kirkland condominium complex on Saturday night has displaced 12 residents.

The fire began at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the Arrowood condos when smoke was noticed by residents on the second floor. Neighbors were alerted to get out of the building and no one was injured.

Firefighters from Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond Bothell and Northshore responded to the call at 12700 block of Northeast 129th Court in Kirkland and the fire was out within 30 minutes.

In all, nine units were damaged and three units sustained major smoke and fire damage during the incident.

In fire is still under investigation by the Kirkland Fire Department.

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
