The Kirkland Library will host “A Guide to Falling Down in Public” hosted by author Joe Kurmaskie at 2 p.m. on April 19, as a part of the Start to Fitness series.

The fifth book in the Metal Cowboy series “A Guide to Falling Down in Public” hits the open road in high gear and never looks back.

Whether he’s outsprinting African elephants and dictators in Zimbabwe or confounding Mexican freedom fighters in Copper Canyon with nothing more than broken Spanish and the magic of a bicycle, Joe “Metal Cowboy” Kurmaskie has mastered the painful art of falling down and the flat-out rush of getting back up again.

Kurmaskie’s stories will celebrate beautiful wrecks on five continents, the extraordinary people met along the way, and all the awe-inspiring, sweat-soaked miles ridden in between.

Sponsored by Friends of the Library of Kirkland.

The Kirkland Library is located at 308 Kirkland Ave. in downtown Kirkland.
