A Kirkland man recently won $170,000 from a Washington’s Lottery Hit 5 ticket purchased from his neighborhood 7-Eleven while on his daily walk. A few days later, he stopped by that same store to check his ticket and couldn’t believe his eyes.
“When I got home and told my wife the good news, she thought the ticket read $170,” said the winner, who has chosen to not give his identity. “I told her to look again and she realized she was three zeros off.”
After paying off some bills, the winner plans to take his wife out to dinner in celebration of the big win. He also plans to use the money on the couple’s upcoming summer vacation to Kauai, Hawaii.
