Finding property, zoning, and utility information just got easier for residents, property owners and developers building in Kirkland. The city of Kirkland is pleased to announce that its GIS mapping portal is now available to the public at http://maps.kirklandwa.gov. The interactive map’s data layers include topographical contours, base map, zoning, and land use, development permits, and environmentally sensitive areas. Site users can create a property report, print out maps and link to MyBuildingPermit.com and the city’s utility online payment website.
Interactive features include searching by address or parcel number and searching for parks, bus stops, fire stations, and transit and snow routes. The site also provides 2010 Census Block, voting district and garbage/recycling collection information.
Kirkland Maps was developed to make permit activity and building information easily accessible to the public as part of the city’s initiative to provide more transparency as recommended by the 2013 Development Services Organizational Review.
The site is not suitable for mobile devices at this time but the mobile application is being developed.
