Many school children across the country celebrated Read Across America on March 1. Here in Kirkland, Lakeview Elementary guest readers shared the joys of reading by celebrating the birthday of famous children’s author, Dr. Seuss.

Even Kirkland Mayor Joan McBride came to read the first book Seuss had ever written, “And to Think I Saw It On Mulberry Street” to Mrs. Gahnberg’s class of kindergarteners.
