The Juanita Neighborhood Association will host the Juanita Dog Days of Summer event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 20.

The event will include a picnic with free food and dog contests. Pets are welcome and the contests will include costumes, fun run, best trick, owner and pet look-alike. There will also be children’s activities, live music, dance performances and more.

The event will be held at Juanita Beach Park, North Field at 9703 NE Juanita Dr. in Kirkland.
