Between Jan. 5-12, the Kirkland Police Department reported 352 traffic violations (eight DUI), 16 traffic accidents, 14 noise complaints, 13 thefts, eight domestic violence, 20 alarms, 11 motor vehicle prowls, six car theft, nine burglaries, 17 disturbances, eight cases of fraud, three harassments and nine malicious mischief calls. At least 27 people were arrested.
Jan. 11
Warrant arrest: 2 a.m., 600 block of Ninth Ave. South. A neighbor reported a noise disturbance and argument and upon arrival officers located a suspect. The man was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The suspect was taken into custody.
Jan. 10
DUI: 12:38 a.m., 11100 N.E. 128th Street. A 21-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for hit and run, driving with a suspended license, DUI and a misdemeanor warrant.
Trespass: 5:15 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. A male and female were arrested for criminal trespass at Costco.
Jan. 9
Theft: 4:50 p.m., 12221 120th Ave. N.E. A 47-year-old Lynnwood woman was arrested after being observed shoplifting $340.99 worth of property from Fred Meyer.
Domestic violence: 12 a.m., 1900 block of First Street. A verbal altercation took place between and man and woman. The man was found to have a warrant for driving with a suspended license.
Disorderly conduct: 2:25 a.m., Two men were arrested outside the Lakestreet Grill after an officer observed them fighting on the ground. One of the men was found to have a small amount of marijuana.
Jan. 8
Theft: 5:40 p.m., 12221 120th Ave. N.E. Fred Meyer Loss Prevention observed a suspect collecting and concealing three pairs of athletic shoes valued at $199.98 and exiting the store without purchasing them. Suspect was found to have two outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants for theft.
Obstructing: 12:39 p.m., 12200 block of 95th Place N.E. A 38-year-old female was arrested at her residence after an officer responded to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, the woman became verbally combative and attempted to leave the scene. She was arrested after a brief scuffle.
Jan. 7
Suspicious circumstances: 9 p.m., 13000 block of N.E. 87th Street. The parents of a 12-year-old boy reported that he had received numerous questionable messages from an unknown person through an online gambling site.
Jan. 6
Warrant arrest: 11 p.m., 15 Lake Street. A 30-year-old Kirkland man was involved in a disturbance at the Lake Street Grill in which he implied he had a weapon. The man was contacted as he was running away from the scene of the disturbance. During a routine check he was found to have a warrant for unlawful imprisonment.
Theft: 5:36 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. A 26-year-old Bothell woman was arrested after she left the Costco with clothes she did not pay for.
