Between Oct. 15-24, the Kirkland Police Department reported 511 traffic violations (10 DUIs), 21 traffic accidents, 29 noise complaints, 18 thefts, 12 domestic violence calls, 39 alarm calls, 19 motor vehicle prowls, two motor vehicle thefts, 10 burglaries, 15 disturbances, 18 cases of fraud, 10 harassment calls and 10 animal control calls. At least 46 people were arrested.

Oct. 23

Assault: 11:35 p.m., 1200 block of N.E. 124th Street. A 21-year-old Kirkland man attempted to steal an 18 pack of beer from QFC and was stopped by store personnel in the parking lot. The man then bit the clerk’s leg and fled the scene. A K9 was able to locate the man and he was arrested.

Warrant: 6:51 p.m., 11300 block of 127th Ave. N.E. A 23-year-old Kirkland man was arrested on his outstanding theft warrant out of Renton. The man was originally contacted on an unrelated civil issue.

Theft: 10:30 p.m., 12400 block of 110th Lane N.E. A 52-year-old man was arrested for stealing his girlfriends mini laptop computer.

Warrant: 2:58 p.m., 12200 block of N.E. 97th Street. A 21-year-old Kirkland female was contacted after illegally dumping a skateboard half-pipe a block away on someone’s lawn. The woman was also found to have a warrant for DUI.

Oct. 22

Harassment: 11:46 p.m., 218 Central Way. A 22-year-old homeless man was arrested after threatening to shoot a bouncer at the Time Out Tavern.

Oct. 21

Theft: 11:25 a.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. Costco reported that loss prevention had taken custody of a shoplifter. The 48-year-old man had attempted to take $70 with of lotions.

Oct. 18

Domestic: 1:43 p.m., 11900 block of N.E. 128th Street. A Woodinville resident called 911 and hung up. The call was in reference to a dispute with his estranged wife. Upon arrival police talked with both parties and arrested the woman for a domestic violence warrant out of King County.

Oct. 16

Obstructing: 8:40 p.m., 211 Parkplace Center. A 25-year-old Kirkland man, who was intoxicated, stole $250 worth of wine and fled the scene on foot. The man disobeyed all commands by Kirkland Police once he was located. The man also resisted arrest and was found to have warrants out for his arrest for assault, burglary and vehicle prowling.

Oct. 15

Theft: 4 p.m., 8629 120th Ave. N.E. Costco loss prevention observed and apprehended a shoplifting suspect. The value of the recovered items totaled $372.27. The 48-year-old Kirkland man was arrested for theft.
