The weekly Kirkland Police blotter is represented on an interactive map below. Instead of listing the selection of calls separately, this feature allows the information relating to the call to be placed on the map itself.
The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical round-up of all calls to the Kirkland Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. The Kirkland Reporter Police Blotter is not intended to be representative of all police calls originating in Kirkland, which average about 800 per week.

Disorderly conduct: 5 p.m., 201 Kirkland Ave. Kirkland Police received a call from Merrill Gardens that an altercation between two men was taking place and that a gun might be involved. The officer was then advised to go to Calabrisella restaurant’s parking lot where he witnessed another officer handcuffing one man with another lying on the ground. The man on the ground stated that he and his friend got into a verbal argument over his behavior in a bar. The friend then punched him in the side of the head. They continued yelling at each other about not being friends any longer. An aid car was requested due to the man’s intoxication level and the wound on the side of this head. Based on the wound, officers did not believe the man was punched as it was more of a scrape. A witness observed the man on the ground as the aggressor, throwing two punches.
