Kirkland police seek armed robbery suspect

The Kirkland Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed the Totem Lake 7-Eleven on March 22.

The Kirkland Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed the Totem Lake 7-Eleven on March 22.

Just after midnight the suspect entered the 7-Eleven, dropped a plastic bag on the counter and approached an employee in the store. He lifted his sweatshirt to reveal a semi-automatic handgun and had the employee move to the register. The suspect told the employee to put the money into the bag. He told the clerk “just the bills” and to “hurry up.”

The suspect then took the bag and left store on foot. He was last seen crossing 124th Avenue Northeast in an eastbound direction.

Responding officers and a police dog were unable to locate the suspect.Video shows the suspect approaching the store westbound on Northeast 116th Avenue crossing from Slater Avenue Northeast and walking across the south AM/PM parking lot. It is unknown if the suspect had a vehicle in the area.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 6-feet tall, medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a green beanie, dark shorts and a black mask over his face.
