Kirkland resident Chris Dube’s body recovered, memorial scheduled

The body of a Kirkland man who drowned in the Klickitat River was recovered July 11, according to the Klickitat Sheriff’s Office.

The body of a Kirkland man who drowned in the Klickitat River was recovered July 11, according to the Klickitat Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher Dube, 23, fell into the river on July 5 while rafting with friends. His body was recovered between Fisher Hill Falls and the Columbia River. The Klickitat County Coroner’s Office has requested an autopsy be performed at the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office in Vancouver.

Dube was a Juanita neighborhood resident, member of the St. John Vianney Church in Kirkland and a photographer.

A memorial service for Dube will be held at 10 a.m. this Saturday at the church, located a 12600 84th Avenue NE Kirkland.
