SummerFest, the new Kirkland event on Aug. 10-11 is searching for volunteers.

The biggest need is from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 13 for 10-12 volunteers to help clean up downtown Kirkland.

Organizers are also in need of early morning volunteers on Saturday, Aug. 12 to help with general set up, such as helping with the set up of three music stages, getting garbage cans distributed throughout the downtown and helping to direct traffic.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved with SummerFest and many of the positions will also allow volunteers to enjoy the events as well. All volunteers receive a SummerFest t-shirt.
