A 73-year-old woman fell to her death from her balcony Thursday night, according to Kirkland police.

Kirkland firefighters and police arrived at the Juanita Village apartments at around 8 p.m.

A stool near the window and a suicide note indicated the death was likely a suicide, said Kirkland police officer Audra Weber, however she noted the case is still under investigation.

The Medical Examiner’s office will rule the woman’s cause of death in the near future.

The Kirkland Reporter’s policy is not to report on suicides unless it is made public.
