Kirkland resident Shauna Kattler’s golden retriever, Ripley, had a nose for finding baseballs. He would find them in bushes or in parks with or without baseball fields.

One year, he found 330 baseballs.

Kattler’s story of her dog’s penchant for baseballs appeared in the April issue of Guideposts magazine. That story has just been chosen by the editors as one of the 10 Most Inspiring Stories of 2011.

Guideposts fans and friends have been voting to choose the most Inspiring Story of 2011, the results of which will be revealed the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
