More than 140 walkers participated in a treasure hunt/walk that took them down the BNSF corridor on May 22.

They received a map and a list of questions that were answered at stops along the way, including: Do you know what was found buried at Lakeview Elementary School in 1996?

Walkers saw fabulous views of Lake Washington, enjoyed the beauty of Kirkland and experienced what could one day be part of a world class trail system on the Eastside.

Event organizers said the event was so successful that many asked when the next walk would be. The event was jointly sponsored by the Cascade Orienteering Club and Eastside Trail Advocates.
