The city of Kirkland will activate a new phone messaging system beginning Monday, June 3, that will offer call-in customers more direct access to the appropriate city staff member for assistance.
Callers can select options for frequently requested services such as permitting, recreation and parks information, the Police Department, Municipal Court and City Jail.
Callers have a second option to reach staff by selecting a department or by entering the staff person’s name. The new system offers many selections and callers are encouraged to have a pen and paper ready when calling the city’s main phone number at 425-587-3000 or the various city departments directly. City staff can also be contacted via email.
For an online staff directory, go to www.kirklandwa.gov and select “Contact Us.”
Should callers experience difficulty with the new system, please contact Michael Olson at 425-587-3146 or molson@kirklandwa.gov.
