The holidays are fast approaching and the YMCA at the Kirkland Teen Union Building wants to help get the community in the spirit.

KTUB will host a community holiday ornament decorating event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the Kirkland Teen Union Building.

The first ornament participants create will be sent to selected retail shops and be available for purchase from Nov. 20 through Dec. 20. Following the first, participants can decorate and keep as many ornaments as they’d like for a suggested donation of $3 a piece.

On Dec. 20, all proceeds will be gathered and divided between KTUB and Kirkland Interfaith Transitions Housing, or KITH. All ornaments and supplies will be included. Drop-ins are welcome but registration appreciated.
