The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced on July 13 that Lake Washington High School student Roland Munsil has received a National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarship. Munsil will receive the National Merit Macalester College Scholarship.
Approximately 3,900 students were winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities were announced by NMSC.
Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution. These awards provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
