Patrons flocked to Juanita Beach Park this week when temperatures reached into the 90s. Juanita Beach Park is one of three waterfront parks in Kirkland that now has lifeguards on duty from noon to 6 p.m. daily until Sept. 2.

Patrons flocked to Juanita Beach Park this week when temperatures reached into the 90s. Juanita Beach Park is one of three waterfront parks in Kirkland that now has lifeguards on duty from noon to 6 p.m. daily until Sept. 2.

Waverly Beach Park and Houghton Beach Park also have lifeguards available.

Juanita Beach Park is located at 9703 NE Juanita Drive; Waverly Beach Park is located at 633 Waverly Way and Houghton Beach Park at 5811 Lake Washington Boulevard.

Swimmers are encouraged to swim in designated areas to prevent drowning.
