LWSD seeks Spanish-speaking volunteers

The Lake Washington School District is seeing a growing need for Spanish-speaking volunteers to help with all levels of education.

The Lake Washington School District is seeing a growing need for Spanish-speaking volunteers to help with all levels of education.

Volunteer opportunities include the following:

Elementary: lunch buddies, tutors and mentors to work with students one-on-one in the areas of reading, writing and math during the normal school day and during after school homework clubs.

Junior High: after school study groups in the subjects of reading, math and science.

Senior High: algebra and geometry tutors during class (7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. and 10:30-11:30 a.m.)
