Madison House resident Chuck Emery put a pom pom on his head to jazz up his teammates and get them to chuckle before trying their hand at bean bag discus Thursday.
Of all the games he played throughout the week-long Summer Olympics event, he enjoyed golf the most. His team had already taken three second places and a first place in the Question and Answer portion of the event.
Who’s going to win the bean bag event?
“We are, of course,” Emery said.
On the opposing team, Genevieve Lewis threw down her bean bags and scored 80 points for her team.
“I love it! It’s great,” she said of the Olympics event.
The Madison House community holds the bi-annual event, which includes both mental and physical activities. The object is not to win, but to participate and have fun, said Karen Thoresen, activities director.
