Between Nov. 15-21, the Kirkland Police Department reported 464 traffic violations, 16 school zone traffic violations, 11 DUIs, five animal calls, 44 alarm calls, 12 noise complaints,  16 calls of disturbance, 15 thefts, 15 car prowls, seven car thefts, 30 traffic accidents, 12 calls of civil disturbance, 12 reported burglaries, nine domestic violence calls, seven calls for harassment, three reports of illegal drugs, three alleged assaults, three acts of fraud, 11 malicious mischief reports, three calls of vice and four suicide calls. At least 39 people were arrested.

Nov. 20

Domestic violence: 2:18 p.m., 14300 block of Simonds Road NE. A 27-year-old man was taken into custody after he and his 18-year-old cousin got into a physical fight.

Nov. 17

Vice: 12:31 a.m., 11215 NE 124th St. Police are investigating a 20-year-old woman, who is staying at the Marriott hotel, as a prostitute. The woman was found on backpage.com and agreed to go on a “date” with the investigating officer but she refused to answer the door when the officers showed up at her room.

Domestic violence: 2:11 p.m., 11700 block of NE 107th Place. A 19-year-old man was arrested for assaulted his 53-year-old mother with a decorative throw pillow, which caused bleeding and injury. When police contacted the mother later, they saw bruising around her eye and a dark purple mark underneath her eye.

Nov. 16

Assault: 12:07 a.m., 12600 block of NE 145th Place. A 36-year-old man was arrested for allegedly scratching his 25-year-old girlfriend in front of three children. A neighbor also reported hearing a loud verbal argument and items breaking at the residence.

Nov. 15

Vice: 5 p.m., 12204 NE 124th St. After locating a 23-year-old backpage.com prostitute at the Comfort Inn, police confronted the woman, who then admitted to prostituting. She was removed from the motel and placed on a “no rent list and told to spread the word.”
