Between April 14 – April 27, there were 489 traffic incidents, 44 traffic accidents, five DUIs, 55 general traffic incidents, 75 alarm calls, 11 abandoned vehicles, 12 burglaries, 21 incidents of fraud, 23 civil incidents, nine cases of harassment, 36 thefts, 21 vehicle prowls, four vehicle thefts, 37 warrants served, 26 noise complaints, 14 animal calls, 22 incidents of domestic violence, 23 disturbances, and one sex offense.

April 14

Trespass: 7:46 a.m., 6700 block of 108th Ave. NE; A 55-year-old male entered and remained unlawfully inside a Starbucks Coffee for the purpose of making unwanted romantic advances toward an employee, a 20-year-old female. The male was arrested for criminal trespass in the first degree, booked at Kirkland City Jail, cited and released on own personal recognizance.

Hit-and-run: 9:44 p.m., 12700 block of NE 114th St.; A 26-year-old male was seen fleeing from the vehicle which he crashed on top of a fire hydrant due to wet roads. The male was later found and admitted to leaving the scene because he knew he had a warrant out of Snohomish County. Snohomish County could not confirm his warrant and the male was cited and released from KPD jail.

April 17

Weapons violation: 10:33 a.m., 100 block of State St. S; A 36-year-old male attended a service at St. John’s Episcopal Church and cause a public disturbance, displaying a knife in a manner that warranted alarm for the safety of other persons. Upon contact of law enforcement, officers searched the male against his will and resistance. The male was cited for a weapons violation and obstruction.

Liquor violation: 9:41 p.m., 14400 block of Simonds Rd. NE; A 35-year-old female reported that her estranged husband, a 39-year-old male, had stolen her Acura. Prior to police arrival, the male returned the Acura and an argument ensued. The female advised that no assault occurred, and just wanted her vehicle returned. The male was highly intoxicated, drinking Modelo out in public, and was later arrested for KMC Liquor in Public.

April 19

Burglary: 7:04 a.m., 14200 block of 111th Ave. NE; A 65-year-old male observed a 30-year-old male entering his residence through a doggy door. The second male suspect fled from the scene, but was later located and taken into custody.

April 20

Indecent exposure: 3:24 p.m., 12000 block of 120th Ave. NE; A 29-year-old male was arrested for indecent exposure after pulling down his pants at the Motel 6.

April 21

Theft: 7:30 p.m., 12400 block of Totem Lake Blvd.; An 18-year-old female was arrested for theft in the 3rd degree after she was caught shoplifting from the Rite Aid. The female admitted to the theft in a signed statement and was trespassed from the location. Shoplifted items included two kinds of cosmetics, a USB car charger, a candle car freshener and some pens.

April 22

Drugs: 2:25 p.m., 10000 block of NE 137th St.; An off-duty police officer observed four males shooting up heroin. A 28-year-old male was taken into custody, and charged with manufacturing, delivering and possession with intent, the use or delivery of drug paraphernalia and obstruction.

DUI: 10:28 p.m., 10000 block of NE 127th Pl.; A 22-year-old female was arrested for DUI after almost hitting another vehicle and passerby, who detained her until police arrived on scene. During her arrest, the female spit on the arresting officer. At Kirkland jail, the female provided blood alcohol content samples of .200 and .204.

April 23

Assault: 12:41 p.m., 12000 block of 100th Ave. NE; A male, age not disclosed, met a 32-year-old female on OK Cupid in Oct. 2015. In Nov., the male felt sorry for the female and had her move into his condo. The male discovered the female had some mental issues and proceeded to legally move her out. On April 23, the female threatened to build a case against the male and told him he was digging his own grave. The female shoved a bag of broken glass into the male’s hand, creating a small laceration which began to bleed. The male believed it was on purpose. The female did not want to talk to police, but was arrested for Assault 4th Degree, Domestic Violence.

Burglary: 9:11 p.m., 12300 block of 100th Ave. NE; After being served by Kirkland officers with a protection order, a 45-year-old homeless male returned to the protected party’s residence. The male broke through the front door and stole Pop-Tarts and a pillow. The male was detained and arrested leaving the scene. The male was booked into King County Jail for Resident Burglary DV and Felony Order Violation.

April 25

Theft: 11:21 a.m., 100 block of Kirkland Ave.; A 23-year-old male got a haircut at Bombaii Cutters and left without paying. He was taken into custody and cited for Theft in the 3rd degree.
