Redmond-based Family Resource Center recently announced the addition of three community leaders to its board of directors.
Kirkland Deputy Mayor Joan McBride will continue to serve on the organization’s board after stepping into the position in April. Known for her community work in the past, McBride received an award for Outstanding Contribution to Human Services by the Alliance of Eastside Agencies in 2007, among other significant honors.
Also joining the board are Emerald Heights CEO Lisa Hardy and Lean Environment consultant Michael Johnson, who is also a past Chairman of the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce.
“We are very pleased with the addition of these community leaders,” said Family Resource Center Chair John Spangenberg. “Joan McBride has been a long-time friend and supporter of Family Resource Center. Michael Johnson, with whom I served on the Chamber Board, will be a tremendous ambassador for the Center. Lisa Hardy brings high-level operations and property development skills. We are very glad for the impact all will bring to our mission.”
Family Resource Center is an innovative nonprofit organization that works collaboratively to lower barriers to services, so families throughout East King County are always able to find the help they need, when they need it. Eighteen agencies provide health, housing and human services to more than 40,000 Eastsiders from the Center’s unique service hub in downtown Redmond, half of them children.
