Lake Washington School District employee Nancy Pfaff will be presenting a workshop for school volunteers on Monday, March 2, at the L.E. Scarr Resource Center, located at 16520 N.E. 74th Street in Redmond. Pfaff will present three key areas to help make your time in the schools more valuable: Beyond Learning Styles – Connecting With Your Students; Visual Act Vision – A Different Way of Thinking; and Opening the Door By Asking Questions – Helping Students Think!
The workshop is sponsored by LINKS, Looking Into the Needs of Kids and Schools. LINKS is a volunteer and mentoring program of the LWSD, connecting community volunteers with schools and children in the district. Those interested in becoming a LINKS volunteer can arrive at 6:30 p.m. to fill out district paperwork and to learn about the different opportunities available. Please bring your driver license or other valid identification.
At 7 p.m., all district volunteers are welcome to attend the workshop.
