Nokia has become the latest high-tech giant to call downtown Kirkland home, last week announcing it will move into a 25,000-square-foot space at Parkplace sometime this summer.
Joining other high tech giants Google and Bungie in the downtown Kirkland area, Nokia plans a “world-class” facility that will house up to 125 employees. It is unclear how the offices will be affected by a Parkplace redevelopment. Two redevelopment plans are currently under consideration by the city.
The offices will be primarily used for the development of Twango, a mobile media-sharing startup previously based in Redmond that was bought by Nokia last year.
