Northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 124th Street in Kirkland to close this weekend

Weekend drivers heading to the Totem Lake area from northbound Interstate 405 this weekend should plan ahead to use alternate routes.

Weekend drivers heading to the Totem Lake area from northbound Interstate 405 this weekend should plan ahead to use alternate routes.

Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 124th Street/Totem Lake Boulevard as part of the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood Widening and Express Toll Lanes project. This closure will allow crews to rebuild the ramp in order to provide a smooth transition with mainline I-405, which is being widened in this area.

Friday, Aug. 8 to the morning of Monday, Aug. 11

The northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 124th Street/Totem Lake Boulevard will close around the clock from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Detour information

  • Signed detours will direct traffic to alternate routes.
  • All drivers can use the northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 116th Street as an alternate route to the Totem Lake area.
  • Carpools, vanpools and transit can use the northbound I-405 off-ramp to Northeast 128th Street as an alternate route.
  • All other ramps at this interchange will remain open throughout the weekend.
