Parkplace Books in Kirkland will host its annual holiday party at 7 p.m. on Dec. 5.

Munch on tasty goodies and imbibe in holiday grog while visiting with friends, neighbors and fellow Kirklanders. Start checking off holiday gift lists and have a book or two signed by any of the store’s guest authors, including Daniel James Brown, John Marzluff, Tony Angell, William Dietrich, Toni Yuly, Brian Payton, Laurie Ann Thompson, Jamie Collison and more.

There will also be live music from jazz musicians, Ostgard and Allen and maybe even a surprise visit from a special guest.

Parkplace Books will also be accepting donated food items. The sleigh is awaiting donations of new children’s books. Attain Housing (formerly KITH) will disperse the books to Eastside families in need during the holidays.
